A legacy of warmth and compassion
Carl Campbell and his wife Betty opened
Parkside, their first care facility in Wenatchee, in 1954.
It had 44 beds. Betty was the cook and nurse and Carl was
the bookkeeper and orderly, washing dishes and doing maintenance
work. Their children, Danny and Kathy, performed various chores
around the facility and literally grew up in the nursing home.
In the years since their humble beginnings,
the Campbells have built or acquired more than 180 centers
in 21 states - including Colonial Vista, which was established
in 1968. Their vision and labor have made possible the extension
of medical, social, and cultural services in an environment
of warmth and compassion that challenges, uplifts, and encourages
human beings. |
