Daisy Baltz, Executive Housekeeper
Daisy grew up in Mansfield, Washington, on her parents'
wheat and cattle ranch. She came to Wenatchee in 1979, and
has been at Colonial Vista since 1986. Her mother, Bernice,
is a resident of Vista III. In her spare time, she enjoys
watching movies, bowling, and touring new homes. She hopes
someday to tour the country by train and cruise to Alaska. |

Penny Carpenter, Administrator
An Oregon native and an enthusiastic University of Oregon
Duck, Penny Carpenter spent 30 years in the catering industry
before joining Colonial Vista in 2002. Her husband, John,
is an aerospace engineer who teaches high school science and
math. Their daughter, Whitney, is a student at the University
of Oregon. Penny enjoys reading, golf, collecting dolls, and
entertaining. |

Vonada, Head Chef
David was born in California and grew up in the Wenatchee
Valley. He is a graduate of Eastmont and has obtained an
Associate degree in restaurant management. David is certified
in culinary preparation and production. His interests include
reading (especially biographies), cooking for friends and
family, and traveling. |

Ray
O'Brien, Supervisor of Maintenance
Ray has been with Colonial Vista since
September 2005. He has resided in the Wenatchee Valley
since 1971 and has worked in the Peshastin saw mill for
nearly 13 years. He and his wife, Julie have 4 children and
1 grandson. Ray enjoys playing the guitar, hunting, fishing
and boating.

Jodie Parkins,
Activity Director
Jodie grew up in Bellingham, Washington as her dad retired there
from his career in the Navy. She has lived in Wenatchee for 20
years. Jodie has been with Colonial Vista since March 2005.
She has two grown sons and enjoys tropical fish, raising dogs
and becoming a Master Gardner.

LeeAnn
Matson, Director of Nursing, Personal Care
Born in North Dakota, LeeAnn has 1 older sister and 3 younger
brothers. She has worked as an RN with seniors for 32 years,
joining the Colonial Vista Staff in 1984. Her son Todd lives in
Arizona. LeeAnn enjoys walking, reading the Bible, home
decorating, being with people, and vacationing with family. |

Dana Schmidt, Director of Resident
Services
For the past 11 years, Dana has been a part of the Colonial
Vista family. She grew up and married her husband Jon in Ohio,
finally moving west when Jon was hired by Washington State Parks.
Dana and Jon have two daughters. Dana's hobbies include traveling,
reading, Bible study, cross-country skiing, hiking, and cooking.
She especially enjoys her baby grandson, Trey! |
